Easily customized to coordinate with the recipient's kitchen.

Most any cotton yarn will work:
The one on the left was crocheted with fingering weight cotton yarn (Scheepjes Catona).
The one on the right was crocheted with worsted weight cotton yarn (Scheepjes Cahlista).

La Vie en Rose Afghan | Knit Version

Here is the wildly anticipated knit version of the
La Vie en Rose Afghan Crochet Pattern,

made by my mother in Norway who is in her 80's!

She knit 1,063 of these tiny squares...
and then sewed them together.

With a little crochet help a border was added in blue:

Here is the knit version and the crocheted version of the afghan.
Since the knit squares are slightly larger than the crocheted squares
the blanket hangs over the sides of a queen-sized bed
more so than the crocheted banket.
Knit size......................              ..........Crocheted size

Both versions were made with Stylecraft Special DK and Scheepjes Colour Crafter
as indicated in the pattern.

La Vie en Rose Afghan | Crochet Pattern | Test of Revisions

The La vie en Rose Afghan and Border Crochet Pattern tests are in from my testers and what delightful testers they are!
I'm very fortunate to have these people in my life. 🥰
This is the test of my tester's edits. I'm not really sure what it is...
a large pincushion?
Maybe a stuffed animal or doll pillow?
Maybe just a little decoration?
🌸
I've added at a little apple blossom from the Apple Blossom Branch pattern found by clicking here.

You can find the pattern for the La Vie en Rose Afghan with the border or just the border with my revisions in the

La Vie en Rose Afghan | Crochet Pattern | Tests

The tests of the revisions to the La Vie en Rose Afghan
are in and I am feverishly editing 😉 with hopes to release the revised version by the end of the week.

And here is my test after their revisions:
So now I'm making the written edits to the pattern and
I can't even tell you how valuable their help has been.
They are making me a better writer and crocheter, which I need right now as
 sometimes I feel like my the cognitive functions are declining;
resulting in a lack of confidence in putting out a quality product.
They willingly share their talent, kindness, and assistance and I am forever grateful.
Thank you so much, your generosity amazes me!
Because of you I am not giving up.
