Puffy NOLA Sunset Afghan | Refreshed Crochet Pattern

The Puffy NOLA Sunset Afghan
Crochet Pattern
has been revisited, reorganized and refreshed!

Oh my sweet goodness, I have learned so much in the last ten years of pattern writing;
mostly from the lovely testers, and I'm still learning!

One of the testers kindly offered to translate the pattern to Arabic:

It's so exciting to think that this pattern could possibly reach someone
whose first language is not English (just like me).
Thank you, Sabah, from the bottom of my heart!

The pattern can be found at the following
Apple Blossom Dreams Shops:
LoveCrafts

At Etsy and Ravelry the download includes the Arabic version, as well.

If you have purchased this pattern in the past,
I would be happy to send you this refreshed version.
Please email purchase information to me at Astri.Bowlin@gmail.com
and I'd be happy to forward the refreshed copy.

Included with the pattern are many different project and color ideas:

A Jeweled Toned "Mermaid" version:

A Neon Pillow:

Infinity Scarves:

A scarf with Stylecraft Special DK and Scheepjes Colour Crafter

You can find links to purchase these yarns

Please note, that at this time, I am not affiliated with these companies, but I love their yarn!
(The link is to my friend's site.)
I hope you've noticed that I don't run ads or affiliations on my site,
in hopes this speeds up the processing of the information you seek.

This may change in the future, but for the last ten years, that's how it's been.

Thank you so much for your interest!

Warmly,

Astri

The test samples for
The Puffy NOLA Sunset Crochet Patten have been coming in

 This is Melanie's test.

This is Sabah's test.
(She is going to translate it into Arabic - I am so excited!)

This is Shelley's test.

And here I have been experimenting with a warm and soft infinity scarf

Granny Rose Pom-Pom Pillows | Crochet Pattern | Out for Testing

UPDATE:
I have all the testers I need for this pattern.
Stay tuned for future need for testers.
I'm looking for a couple of testers for the Granny Rose Pom-Pom Pillows Crochet Pattern.
The test requires a minimum of making the mini pillow pictured above. It consists of four granny rose squares, a larger granny square joined to the back with the crocheted pom-pom trim and an opening.
(This mini-pillow could be a gift for a doll or stuffed animal.)
The pattern calls for either Stylecraft Special DK or Sheepjes Colour Crafter yarn; however, any yarn is fine for the test.
Testers receive the pattern for free, as well as, a choice of any other pattern from the
Apple Blossom Dreams Etsy, Ravelry or LoveCrafts shops.
Somebody to edit punctuation, grammar, technical writing, and final pattern outcome, would be awesome.
I would like photos with permission to post those photos on my website and on social media.
If you are interested in testing this pattern it would be due by Midnight, Tuesday, the 3rd of March 2020.
The pattern is written in English in U.S. terms.

Please send me an email if you are interested in testing.

Granny Rose Pom-Pom Pillows | Crochet Pattern Writing

It's been a while since I've had a block of time to sit down and write a crochet pattern;
between holidays, guests, snow removal and house projects it's been a little hectic,
but it's all "good" hectic.

So this evening I sit and start writing the pattern for the
Granny Rose Pom-Pom Pillows:
One pillow has a small crocheted pom-pom trim and one has large pom-poms.

And the backs are great big granny squares:
Yarn is Stylecraft Special DK or Scheepjes Colour Crafter.

This new pattern is a modification of the Granny Rose Two-Color Afghan.
(Just in case you can't wait or you already have that pattern.)
(Granny Rose Two-Color Afghan.)

Working on these pillows has been one of my happiest projects.
I'm excited to roll this pattern out soon.
I should wrap it up in a couple of days and then it will go out for testing.

Please stay tuned,
and in the meantime, I wish you lots of

Astri

Granny Square Napkin Envelope

Ya' know, in a previous post I mentioned how I did not know if it was appropriate
to gift a crocheter with a crocheted gift or not.

Well, I'm here to tell you that as far as this crocheter (me) goes it is not only appropriate,
but very well received and appreciated.
💓💓💓
Look at what the lovely Sandra in Switzerland of the
Oh my, you can only imagine my joy and delight in receiving this gift from afar!

Sandra has carefully coordinated the colors with my home and style,
and she made this incredible photo collage, as well:
She's a talented crocheter and photographer.
  I 💓 it so much!
It's absolutely perfect.
Thank you so much Sandra!

And to all of you,
thank you for stopping by and
Warmly,

Astri

Thoughtful Crocheted Gifts

I like giving crocheted gifts,
but sometimes that's not necessarily an appropriate gift if the recipient is a crocheter....

So what's one to do?

Well, how about a gift a crocheter can make?
A "booklet" sized printed off pattern along with a hook (3.75mm) and
yarn colors you think they would like.
A thoughtful "gift kit" of sorts.

Place them in a cellophane bag,

with a pretty coordinating ribbon.
(That photo was MIA...hmmm...)

This instantly downloadable .pdf pattern
can be found in the following shops:

And a box full of Scheepjes Catona Cuties of every color imaginable
can be found by clicking on one of the sources here.

Please note:
I'm not affiliated with Meyer's or Scheepjes,
I just simply like and recommend their products.

and Happy Gift Making or Giving,

Warmly,

Astri
