Time Goes By Fast...

...when you are working on two homes!
The last year has flown by with very little chance of a blog breather.
Projects are winding down and I hope to start posting about out remodel in
Stjernedalen!

Here's a little snippet of what we have been up to:

This is what it looked like before.

And here's the west side of the house.

More to come as we wrap up the warm weather projects.

Pink and Red Granny Rose Afghan of Love

Roses for a Mother..

This breathtaking afghan was made by Diane in Arizona for her mother's birthday.
A year and a half in the making!

Check out the beautiful lattice trim and the gorgeous shades of pink and red.
Diane used 10 skeins of yarn including seven different shades of red.
108 squares!

Warms my heart and makes me smile.

Thank you Diane, for sharing your beautiful afghan and your incredible talent.

If you would like to make an afghan similar to this please click here to purchase the two-toned roses Granny Rose pattern or the Granny Rose pillow pattern in one tone per rose here.

Crocheters never cease to amaze me with their talent and love!

Norwegian Landscape Afghan

Finished an afghan to coordinate with...

...this beautiful print by Elizabeth Langreiter.
It's called Little Red Norwegian Houses and I love it!
(Purchased from www.fineartamerica.com and framed by JoAnns)

Pulled out my Stylecraft Special DK yarn colors to match,
which included:
Aster
Robins Egg
Cloud Blue
Storm Blue
Cypress
Sage
Green
Kelly Green
Spice
Fondant
Lipstick
Claret
Turquoise
Sherbet
And lots of white
(the photo includes black but I left that out)
The border was crochet in:
Cloud Blue

Pattern is called "Boho Chic Blanket"
and can be found at Crochet Between Worlds
and by clicking here.

Then crocheted and crocheted and crocheted for a very long time!
(Including many driving hours back and forth to and from Stjernedal.)

Must be photographed with Norwegian window geraniums. :-)

Must also be photographed with its new friends.

Too much light - but the best photo I had from when it was still a WIP.

 Not a WIP anymore:

Have a happy colorful day!
