Meadow Larksfoot Inifinity Scarf in Purples

I needed a scarf to coordinate with my purple boots, of course.
So I made one!

Here's what the outside looks like:

Here's what the inside looks like:
It's the Meadow Larksfoot Scarf Pattern
that can be purchased here.

It's really fun to make.

Except the ends....

But once they're taken care of, then it's all good!
Yarn is Stylecraft Special DK in:
Khaki
Meadow
Plum
Parma Violet
Clematis
Grape
Emperor
Silver
Gray

A shell border was added:
*4 dc in one, skip one and a sc in next, skip one*, repeat form * to *
Pretty darn fun for fall!
And now I can frolic in the Autumn mist in
a coordinating scarf, and that makes me happy!

I hope you have a scarf that makes you happy too!

Granny Rose Scarf with Bobbly Trim IIII

Alright, so Wendy and Gillian guessed the right color for the bobbly trim:
Lime or green!
Although with each guess/suggestion, I wished I had used that color, haha!
Thank you all for your comments!
Isn't that the cutest trim?
It's by Robin Sanchez at Once Upon a Pink Moon.
Click here to go to her lovely site for the free instructions!
It's called the Pom Pom Edge.
Be sure to linger a while you will be delighted!

The Granny Rose pattern can be purchased here.

It looks like a pillow here:
Oh that gives me ideas....

And finally here's the scarf mascot nibbling on the bobbly trim,
Cow says, "Please show them more photos of the finished scarf".
"I will happily do that tomorrow", Astri replies.
"Oh good, I hope you publish a selfie too", she exclaims,
"and by the way this trim looks like grass but does not taste like grass!"
"I'll have to think about the selfie and I imagine the trim is better than grass",
Astri says with a big smile on her face,
because she knows how good yarn can be!

Granny Rose Scarf with Bobbly Trim III

This was really supposed to be yesterday's post
and yesterday's post was supposed to be today's post.
Haha, I'm easily dazed and confused.

Oh well, here are some step-by-step granny rose photos:
I made sixteen of these in all these colors except lime and denim:
It's all Stylecraft Special DK.

I made the rose a bit fluffier by adding an extra dc before and after
the chain in the middle of the pedal.

The the leaf row was added in Lime.

Then the granny row in any color except Lime or Denim:
(Not to worry, they will get their turn!)

The a granny row of Denim:
The Granny Rose pattern can be purchased here.
(I apologize for the redundancy.)

The next granny row is also in Denim, and it is used with the
join-as-you-go method to join all the squares in a big old circle
for an infinity scarf. Or a straight scarf is also an option.

This is what it looks like with second row following the join-as-you-go method.
There are a lot of great videos and instructions out there on how to do this.
Mr. Google helps!

Greetings from the Granny Rose Scarf mascot, Cow!
I warned you would not make sense, right? ;-)

Next post...the bobbly trim!

Granny Rose Scarf with Bobbly Trim II

Some of the granny rose squares for the
Granny Rose Scarf with Bobbly Trim are finished:
All leaf rows are lime.
The roses and first granny row alternate all the other colors except denim.
Denim is the second granny row,
and also the third granny row where the
join-as-you-go technique was used.

The Granny Rose pattern can be purchased here.

Here are six of the squares joined:

And here are the six finished squares photographed with the three coats
and the scarf "mascot". ;-)

The light blue dress coat:

The magenta ski jacket:

and the denim jacket:

Can you guess the color I have in mind for the bobbly trim?

Granny Rose Scarf with Bobbly Trim I

Autumn is scarf making time and I'm thinking it's time to make a Granny Rose Scarf.
I have made so many items with the Granny Rose Pattern,
but never a scarf; although some of my blog friends have used the pattern for a scarf,
and they turned out absolutely lovely!

First I will need yarn.
These are the colors I chose:
It's all Stylecraft Special DK.
I will be use more of the Denim and the Lime colors.

I'd like it to coordinate with three jackets/coats:
Magenta Ski Jacket (Pomegranate)
Denim Jacket (Denim)
Light Blue Wool Dress Coat (Cloud Blue)

and I will need these accouterments:
Scissors, "G" or 4.25 mm hook, Needle

Here''s the yarn photographed with a cow creamer;
milk or cream pours out her mouth.
So cute!
I think the cow will be the "Scarf Project Mascot".
It doesn't make any sense, but then again, what's the fun in making sense?

Do you want to make one too?
You can find the granny rose pattern by clicking here.
