Thank you so much for linking to my blog, Astri! I love your Norway photos, and the first one I knew right away, since I, believe it or not, took the exact same photo that very same day!!! How amazing is that!? I was in Oslo for a meeting and passed by the parliament as they were preparing for the big celebration, and the flowers were so beautiful! I will have a go at this one too: I think this must be Aurlandsfjorden in Sogn, and the village you see below is probably Aurland?? Another option is the Hardangerfjord, but this looks more like Sogn to me...
What a small world it truly is!

There was also another somewhat accurate guess by Cogaroo,

I know...you're visiting Arendelle! ;) I'm so glad you got to go to Norway, it sounds like an amazing time!
According to wikipedia here :
"Arendelle was inspired by Nærøyfjord, a branch of Norway's longest fjord Sognefjorden,"
Although the photo is not Nærøyfjorden,
Aurlandsfjorden and Nærøyfjorden both branch off Sognefjorden.

Thank you for playing and good luck with the next photo. :-)
I know...I know! Wait...I can't play, can I? Nevermind...
ReplyDeleteNo you can't play Digger (NVO). It would not be fair as you took the photo! ;-)
DeleteMy first entry in the competition. I think you are byuing Wool in Røros... Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteHi Monica! Nice to "meet" you. Røros was on our original trip schedule, and it was scheduled right after the stop in this photo. It unfortunately got cut out due to a day of well needed rest at my cousin's cabin. This shop is very close to my cousin's cabin in.....????
DeleteThank you for the comment and please keep playing. :-)

As a fellow crafter, I think you are in a Craft and Wool shop in Tromso (can't do the accent on the 'o'). It seems that you're in this shop to buy wool (or other types of yarn), when you were visiting Norway, for future projects once back in the US!
I hope you took an extra bag with you for all the new yarns?!
Excellent guess Sandra; you are correct on all details except Tromsø. We did not make it as far north as Tromsø this time, but it is slated for a future "Northern Lights" trip.
DeleteIf you can believe it, I forgot to plan for yarn shopping while packing for the trip, but somehow I fit some into all the nooks and crannies of my suitcase along with my favorite chocolate form Norway...the Firkløver. I have my priorities right?
Thanks for stopping by - always nice to "see" you. :-)
Still no ideas, but enjoying the pictures!! xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful Amy! I smile when I see your comments pop up. :-)
DeleteHow much yarn did you buy?
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to my blog! :) My guess for this picture: Who - you, what - buying yarn, why - you don't need a reason to buy yarn, right? I'm not sure of the location, knowing nothing about Norway apart from Frozen... :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! How exciting for you to be in Norway!!
