Join with a picot edge from here.
Leaving an opening on the bottom like this:

Four were filled with cotton balls soaked in Chanel No. 5:

And the other four were filled with lavender from last summer's garden:
Wrapped in a little cheesecloth:
This one had a bigger opening so it definitely needed a button. :-)

and continue to picot along one side of the bottom
with 6 chs on the point for a button loop, if preferred.
(The button and button loop is optional.)
