Homemade Soft Pretzels for Fishing Trip

I must be hungry lately...lots of bloggin' 'bout food!
On the left you will see an experimental variation...rosemary, garlic and sea salt.
Yum!
But the classic with brown mustard was the best.

Recipe found here at the Half Baked site.
We also made the Buffalo Cheddar Cheese Sauce and it was super good.

Here are some photos of the process:
 Rising.
 The NVO helps roll.
Boiled quickly in baking soda water.
As you can see it does not matter how they look to begin with,
as they all puff up so much in baking it makes no difference.
That bottom right one looks like a cinnamon roll. haha.
Oh and these are a great with a cold brewski while float tube fishing!
Tibble Fork Reservoir.
American Fork Canyon, Utah.
Can't let the fish get away:
In addition, I strap our float tubes together:
I'm not letting this one get away either. ;-)
(He likely does not want to get away as long as I have the cold brew and pretzels in my float tube pack.)

I hope your Summer is grand so far!

    1. Any kind of fishing will do! Ice fishing is best, though because I can crochet at the same time. ;-)

    1. Ah yes, we are celebrating embracing-gluten week as well! Very well put.

We each caught one trout, and ate them for breakfast the next morning. :-) I'm good with catching one...the rest of the time is just relaxing or catch and release.
