The Pink Scarf Project Meets Mr. Micawber

During my blogging adventures I have crossed paths with many wonderful women.

Two of these lovely ladies are the inspiration for this post:

Sue

Vicki

 of 2 Bags Full

If these two bloggers have not met, yet, I would like to introduce them to each other:

Unbeknownst to them (until now) these two women have collaborated on this project:

It is part of the following scarf donation project for breast cancer 

coupled with a scarf pattern intended for charity:

Vicki is collecting scarves for women fighting breast cancer

and Sue wrote a scarf pattern for charity.

How perfect is that?

Both have generously given their time, energy and love to these heartfelt causes.

So here's my part:

 A "pink" yarn run, was in order.

The stash-busting rule was broken, but goodness gracious, this was for a cause. ;-) 

(The stash simply did not produce a color appropriate for this project.)

Boy, it was nice to choose any pink yarn from the entire array of pink.

Funny thing, once I arrived home after the purchase, one of the skeins was missing.

To make a long story short, I dropped it upon exiting the store. 

Lucky for me, a sweet customer turned it in and when I called they had it waiting for me.

So I have come to the conclusion that yarn people are good honest folk.

(We already knew that, right?)

Back to the scarf:

 Sue's post includes a written version or short-hand version of the "Laurel Leaf Scarf". 

A diagram and videos are included, as well.

She even posts about blocking the scarf here.

No matter what your learning style, she has given you the tools to help.

The pattern is free. Sue graciously asks that you make a donation to a charity of your choice.

I chose Vicki's, in hopes to bring a smile and a little love to a victim of this devastating disease.

 Vicki's post includes an address to mail the scarves.
