Week #1:
Gather Supplies
(and I had to make a few squares to come up with the right color combinations, too.)
Orange, Yellow, Turquoise, and Hot Pink Roses
Green Leaves
Aqua, White, and Pale Violet Granny Row
With an added single crochet row of red
I think they will be joined by red as well.
(I have some weird thing going on where red and/or white must be included in everything!)
See this link for more on gathering supplies.
Week #2
The Rose
Lots of roses!!!
I'm thinking 120...
(divisible by 4 for the 4 colors and 3 for the 3 different granny row colors)
but then again...it might be based on how much yarn of each color I have...
that bridge will be crossed when I come upon it. :-)
See this link for photo tutorial of how to make the rose...complete with video.
And if you want to skip ahead, see the side bar for Week 3, 4 and 5.

Thank you Pattas, my faithful long time follower, I'll never forget your pretty granny rose project! Little does Mrs. Micawber know that your comment is written in Tasmanian!
DeleteI love the colors you chose. The really pop together!!
ReplyDeleteHow nice! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.
DeleteDang, you've got Spanish AND Portuguese! I can't use French - that's reserved for Créations Manuelles. So I'll have to stick with English, and say that those roses are a knockout colour combo. So cheerful and bright!
ReplyDeleteTusen takk min venn! Du gjør det hele morsomt.
DeleteThis is "the CAL 2012"
ReplyDeletelove the colors Astri...happy holidays!
Haha, I like that. Thank you!
DeleteDette ser utrolig flott ut! Minner meg om en av mormors spreke brikker. Venter i spenning på fortsettelsen :-)
ReplyDeleteI had not heard of spreke brikker and translator tells me it's fit pieces? I could not figure out what that means. haha. Thank you for the comment I.H.
Delete120 stykker.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm...maybe only 84 or 96 they are also divided by 3 and 4 as well...
DeleteThe warmth of the fireplace sounds so nice. I hope you will continue enjoying!
Those colours brighten up a dull and dreary day Astri, it's going to be beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteAh, thanks Linda. Sunshine on a cloudy day?
Sounds like there's a lot of that kind of weather going around everywhere! Hoping for lots of bright spots in your holiday.
DeleteThose are certainly colors that will brighten up anyone's day! Happy holidays! Tammy
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy - your comments always brighten the day too!
DeleteI adore these Roses and am doing a Afghan with four coloured Roses :) Still not sure how to join or what border to use. Are you on FB or Google+?
ReplyDeleteI have finished my Afghan and my secret sister loved it! But I don't know how to post a picture of it here. Thank you again for the pattern. I joined all my squares Using the flat braid join. Turned out so pretty! I almost kept it for myself!
