Herman's Hermits:
the NVO's favorite group as a teenage boy in Junior High School.
After last night they may very well be my favorite group.. right now!
Sneaking around the corner, produced this snazzy shot of Peter Noone:
A clever, stealth, and ninja-like photographer am I, eh?
And how about this anomaly:
This band did not "do drugs" and Peter Noone has been married
to the same woman for over 40 years.
(To a Frenchwoman, you know this, Domy?)

Very impressive!
"There's a Kind of Hush" is my favorite.
And your's?
OMG! Yes, I was a Herman's Hermits Fan! When I saw the title of this post I started singing that in my head so I knew exactly what you were talking about. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, bringing back memories, so remember them and their music ... kind of hush, just loved that then, still do.
ReplyDeleteSorry !
ReplyDeleteI don't know this group :(
I had a news yesterday, one of the groupe U2 bought a great old house in my village on the seaside !! And also Vanessa Paradis, the Johnny Depp's wife ( euh wife, or partner ??)
Realy good the photographer :-)
That is so nice and refreshing to read about a band and a lead singer. You hear such dreadful stories all the time. This is such a nice change ; )
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Henery the 8th...of course! A bit of Cockney pronunciation there! We sing that song all the time. It's actually a 1910 Harry Campion signature music-hall song. We just saw Peter and the Herman's Hermits on a British Music Special on the Public TV Channel. He looks good! Both Hubby and I love his group. So many great hits! Lucky you to see them in person. Also glad to hear he wasn't into the drugs or women. He's still a cutie!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I just got a blast from the past reading this post! And he doesn't look too bad for an older gent....lol I am glad you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this is a Herman's Hermits song, but "Somethin' Tells Me I'm Into Somethin' Good" started playing in my head as soon as I saw that first photo. I do love "There's a Kind of Hush" too.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to hear that they stayed clean - that's probably why he looks so good (as opposed to, say, Mick Jagger).
I like that song, too. Now I am gonna be singing it all day. :) But they have lots of good ones. Sounds like a great evening. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteA walk down memory lane for many of us. :-)
ReplyDeleteMr. Noone did look good. LOL on Mick comment, Sue! Must be that clean living. You are right about "Something Good" there's also a "Heartbeat" song that's good and never to forget "Mrs. Brown".
