Owlie Hat
A little guy for a new little guy expected in September...
but the shower is soon,
and the cool weather will be upon us before we know it!
Bernat Alpaca Yarn.
Sky, Natural, Wheat, Charcoal
A pattern purchased from the "Easy Makes Me Happy" blog.
If you have not stumbled across this blog it is definitely worth checking out.
For a girly version of the owl hat made last winter click here.
The pattern includes a great tutorial on this feather stitch...
Feathers of a bird, flock together.
Oops, is it the other way around? ;-)
Put them all together and we have:
Owlie!
Who-o-o do YOU love???
very nice hat !!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Domy! Have a good weekend. :-) xxxxx
DeleteWho-o-o do I love? Of course, your cute owlie hat! That feather stitch is darling. I had to laugh - the cliche is the other way. You are just like me...I'm always mixing up my cliches. I turn them around, I mix them together incorrectly. Hubby is always correcting me (nicely). And I can't stop saying them. They just roll off of my tongue. Have a great July 4th! It's hotter than heck here.
ReplyDeleteAwwww...Sandy, my friend indeed as my friend in need. ;-) And then there's the old "fool me once" that our former Prez made so popular. I still don't get that one right either.
DeleteI bet your hubby is entertained by it all.
Try to stay cool!
That owl hat is absolutely adorable. And that featherstitch is very unique and pretty. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteThe featherstitch is a lot of fun. It's on the "Easy" blog too.
DeleteWishing you a wonderful weekend, as well, Tammy!
Skjønn lue til den lille gutten som skal komme!
ReplyDeleteGod helg til deg!
God helg til deg, ogsa, Sonja! Takk, Takk, Takk!
DeleteIt's lovely Astri, so unusual and cute :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. I'm always excited to see what cute thing you are working on too!
DeleteSo cute! Thanks also for the blog link, I will check it out.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharmayne, let me know what you think of that blog. :-)
DeleteVery nice....you did a great job on the owl!!
ReplyDeleteMuch gratitude for your sweet comment Shari! We like crocheting for babies, yes?
DeleteLove the pattern and the hat :))
ReplyDeleteThank you Pattas. You always crochet such cute things.
DeleteVery unique and adorable! I love her blog. I think hers was the FIRST I ever stumbled upon! My first project EVER was the little plump hearts that she shared (for free). I like the feather stitch. Perfect for an owl hat! I may need to check this out. A friend's daughter is having a little girl in August...and she has an owl theme going on. The recipient of your hat will be thrilled! Hugs, Annette
ReplyDeleteThanks PP. Tara's blog was one of my first crochet blogs to stumble across, as well. She inspired my header with her naked branch. I used her free leaf pattern for the apple blossom leaves.
DeleteI think I stumbled across "Easy" and "Attic" the same day. Got me very inspired.
Best wishes to your friend's daughter. :-)
So cuTe!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mrs. W! Have a wild and wonderful weekend!
DeleteCool weather - we could use some about now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very cute hat and a lucky little guy. I like that feather stitch too.
Oh yes, something cooler would be nice. The cold showers help though. :-)
DeleteThe hat is for Little Bug's supervisor at work. She bought my car a few months ago when we were down sizing and downgrading everything. She's got an owl theme going on so I'm hoping she will like it.
Hoping your weekend is a fun one!
Fabulous and very cute hat! I'm going to check out the blog now :) Maggie xx
ReplyDeleteHi Maggie! Thank you for the comment. I think you will like the blog, she has so many easy and fun idea. :-)
