Moonflowers

Sometimes lots of blossoms:

Sometimes not so many:
But no matter how much she blossoms or doesn't blossom, she still cares. :-)
(Thank you, "K".)

With Spring just around the corner, the porch pillows were in need of a little flower power.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
"An explosion of flowers" as the NVO calls it.

Lonely red roses:
 Meet your new friends:
Flowers from Lesley Stanfield's book:
"100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet"
#50 Meconopsis
and
#49 Forget-me-not
and
#44 Daisy
Joined permanently together via fabric glue, with the single red roses. :-)

This Moonflower will be blossoming a little less in the Blogging Garden, so please don't take my reduced posts and comments in your blogs as an indication of disinterest...
just going to focus a little more on my health, my family and my job.

The C-A-L is still in the works and scheduled for the first day of spring.
The rose in the middle of this pillow is the same rose that will used for the C-A-L,
but the colors will be so very different.
I can't wait. I'm so excited!

Be back soon!

  3. Love this! Flowers sometimes look plain when you just make one but when you put them together with others they really look amazing. Great work Astri!

  7. Hi Astri,

I just stumbled on your blog through Pinterest. You do such lovely work! Do you have a pattern available for the apple blossoms you use in your banner? The idea of putting them on a branch is brilliant. I'll be back again soon.
    Thanks, Laura

  11. You are welcome Laura!

Oh yes I.H. it does look like marispan cake! You know, the marsipan cake was the center of my father's claim to fame and livelihood. Brings warm memories to me. Thank you!
