Puff Flower Project #1

An Autumn/Winter Scarf in Spring Colors

Using the "puff flowers" from the previous post:
Lots of gratitude goes out to the providers
of the patterns and tutorials:
1) Puff Flower from Tara at the "Easy Makes Me Happy" blog.
2) Square is modified from the Puff Flower Hexagon at the "Speckless" blog. I'm hoping you may be able to look at the photo and figure out the modification into a square. :-)
3) Border is Pattern #132 from Eddie Eckman's "Around the Corner Crochet Borders" book. It's a puff stitch and one chain in alternating stitches. Then a row of single crochet to finish off.
Project #2 has been started and will be here soon.

But frolic in the Autumn mist
In a town called Holladay

Stayed tuned for an Autumn/Winter creation.

Pattern and tutorial can be found here at the Easy Makes Me Happy Blog.
Thank you, Tara!

Crocheted Chocolate Holster II

A gift for a friend turning 50
A surprise birthday party at a restaurant named "Sea Salt" so, of course,
"Lindt Sea Salt" the only appropriate chocolate choice.
A black hoster so it can be dressed-up or down...
50 is the best number in the whole world!
(It's nice when the friends start catching up with my number.)
Happy Birthday Donna!
I've got your number...and your back. :-)

Crocheted Chocolate Holster

This, my friends, is a seasonal crocheted chocolate bar holster:
It has belt loop attachments so that ones chocolate can always be near.
It's filled with See's chocolate bars.

It will be a special gift along with some other See's Candy tid-bits for a game of "BOO" at work.

Remnants of Summer

Eeking out the last hint of Summer

Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed
That with the sun's love, in the spring
Becomes the rose
~Amanda McBroom
 Goodbye Summer,
until next year...

Vi sees senere!
(We'll see ya' later!)

Adopting Lucille

Lucille is a Geranium
We recently adopted Lucille from some good friends,
apparently we passed the home study test. :-)

I have a great love of geraniums...ahhhhhhh geraniums in a lace trimmed window.
Gives me that cozy Norsk feeling.
KOSELIG!!!

Lucille will not be alone, she has been introduced to her new friends:

 DAISY

MANDY

 KALIE

VERA

GLITTER
Glitter is the boss of all the plants. He (yes, "he" is a "he" and yes , we do watch DWTS) came to us the first Christmas after we met. That first Christmas, he was just a wee boy, from Walmart, covered in glitter for the season. The glitter has since worn off; however, he still sparkles from within. With the NVO's consistent care he has grown into a strong man with the ability to boss the other plants around, but the other plants are able to hold their own "ground".

WELCOME LUCILLE
 AND
THANK YOU "L" and "K"

Knobs de' Rosemåling

Vanity Knobs
are now rosemåled.

Remember this from this post?

Well...now it's this.

Additionally...
new knobs added to the cabinets...

a cabinet that opens to this:
with a few more matching "organizers" since last we met.
I was even on a search for hairspray in a red container. hehe.
(My hair is not "fat" but I want it to be.
I wonder if this hairspray will work?
It might if it contains high fructose corn syrup
and trans fats and I use much too much of it.)

I also wonder if this welcoming spot will motivate me to get ready for work in the mornings, especially now that the days are getting shorter and
Mr. Sun is not there to join in the "getting ready" party?

Oh, and I forgot to tell you...

new knobs to match the nightstands, as well. :-)
At all costs, everything must match!
BUT, this project did not cost much, at all,
since the red knobs were recycled from an old black armoire:

Until next time, my friends...

Rocking Chair Cushion

One "Side"
The Other "Side"
Both "Sides"
Photographs better out"side" with the Kale.
But...belongs in"side"

(Pattern is a combination of "Daisy Square" from this post at My Rose Valley and the "Summer Patio Cushions" from this post)

Oh and BTW started with a white IKEA cushion:
Check out all those tags...five of them!
Apparently I am going to be in BIG trouble for removing them.
Have a happy weekend!
