The Flower Box

Marigolds, Petunias, Salvia and Alyssum

This is one of the SFG boxes the NVO built...
This is the only box that is dedicated exclusively to flowers.

(Additional and traditional veggie and herb boxes to come.)

The NVO and dear Mama Corky chose the flowers and planted them and they did a lovely job!

My only request: marigolds to keep the bugs at bay and BOY,
did those marigolds ever take-off, they must love their SFG box home.

This year the flowers were planted before
the garden deck cushions were but a twinkle in my eye.

BUT, next year, flowers in the colors of the below cushions will be planted as soon as....

...the Spring annuals have had their 15 minutes of fame. :-).

The red and white tulips were planted so we would have a reminder of springtime looking out the dining room window before the weather warmed up enough to sit outside and enjoy.
This photo was taken after a spring snow storm - that is snow weighing down the tulips.
Isn't that wild?
