Apple Blossom Header

Apple Blossom Dreams Header Update

All apple blossoms have been crocheted and accounted for. :-)
Phase I of the new header is complete:
I love winter but these faux blossoms make me long for springtime.
The flags of the two countries that I love...
The flag of the country that the NVO loves,
and the flag of the country he is learning to love.
(The military flag, in the header, was from NVO's father.)

The leaf pattern is from the Easy Makes Me Happy Blog and the apple blossom and rosebud patterns are from Lesley Stanfields, 100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet, book. This wonderful book was purchased via Amazon; however, the apple blossom pattern can also be found on the Lion Brand Website.

Now it's time to finish the rainbow scarf before the weather warms up.
I don't want it to have to wait until next fall to wrap it's lovin' fibers around someones neck.

  1. That's a lovely header! :o) Nice flowers also. I'm frantically working on my ripple afghan. Amost done now, just 11 double rows before I can start another project :o)

Looking forward to seeing your master bedroom afghan

  2. Tusen Takk! The header is my first attempt at trying to combine my love of the two countries and crochet all in one photo. A new camera and a class in photography is my next step. :-)

I'm excited to see a post of your ripple afghan upon completion; sounds like it will be soon.

  3. Hey Astri!
'Mange tusen tak' for your comment at my blog. I have the pattern for the hearts somewhere ... I will look for it as soon as possible!
And thanks for guiding me in your direction :-)
I simply LOVE your apple blossom branches, and I think I might have to do something similar. I have a very large branch/small tree in my living room, with 'season - related' decorations, and I would so much love to enjoy the apple blossoms a bit earlier than in the garden!
I look forward to following your blog, and will be back with the pattern for the hearts as soon as possible!
    Have a nice evening!
